My Latest Read...

I am in the midst of reading a great new book called When Two Become Three: Nurturing Your Marriage After Baby Arrives, by Mark E. Crawford. While a new baby brings so much joy and excitement to a family, the addition also brings with it new dimensions and stresses to the marriage relationship. Although I am just half way through the book, I am impressed by how accurately Crawford identifies issues that face new parents' marriages and, more importantly, provides useful tips and tools to resolve them & build an even stronger family bond.

This book would make a great gift for parents-to-be and is definitely a great read for those of you with little ones!

Dr. Walt

Hey all you parents out there...there is a book you must pick up! God's Design for the Highly Healthy Child one of many books authored by Dr. Walt Larimore ("Highly Healthy" series also includes: God's Design for the Highly Healthy Person & God's Design for the Highly Healthy Teen). We read this book in preparation for little Natalie's arrival and loved the insight Dr. Walt shared not just in regard to medical/physical issues of kids but particularly on the emotional/spiritual/guidance aspect of raising a child in today's world. Dr. Walt touches on everything from vaccinations & nutrition to family relationships & appropriate discipline at every age group. Check it out!

Cold Tangerines

I just finished a great book…Cold Tangerines by Shauna Niequist. The book is a compilation of witty, funny, sad and thoughtful stories and reflections that any girl, woman or mother can appreciate.
The premise of the book is to celebrate life’s everyday moments. Check it out for an inspiring read.

"Everything is interim. Everything is a path or a preparation for the next thing, and we never know what the next thing is. Life is like that, of course, twisty and surprising. But life with God is like that exponentially."
- Shauna Niequist, Cold Tangerines
