Stratton is 8 Months old! I sound like a broken record but time is really flying! Here is an update on what you have been doing this past month Stratton...
-You love to sit up and play. You do a great job of playing with your toys all by yourself or with us, your sister or your little buddies
-You always manage to find the diaper wipes! You aren't crawling yet and have no interest in getting on your stomach to even give it a chance...but you rock your body back and forth when you are sitting to try to scoot yourself around. You definitely WANT to get around the room to different things but this scooting strategy only gets you a couple of feet. Somehow that is usually enough distance to get you to the pack of diaper wipes. I often check on you to find that you have gotten to the wipes and pulled out half the pack!
-You are curious and like to grab everything (including my camera lens when I try to snap a shot of you!) 
-While you have little interest in crawling, you LOVE to stand up. Your legs are strong and you can stay standing with just a little help for a long time! We often wonder if you will just get up and walk one day and skip the whole crawling phase :)
-Here is a picture of you getting up on all fours (trying!). You should try this more often. You would love crawling, I promise!
-You and your sister are sweet buddies. You guys love to hug and always smile and laugh- all you have to do is look at each other!
-You have gotten very good at eating your food and are hungry for about 2 jars of baby food at meal-time. You like just about everything you have tried except for pureed meat (but who can blame you?!). Today you tried puffs for the first time but since you don't have your hand to mouth/pinch down pat they weren't a big hit. You did really like the teething biscuit I gave you and worked on that for quite awhile. Another food you will eat forever are strawberries that I put in your mesh teether.

-Your clothes are about 12 months size
-You get very sleepy and go to bed around 7pm. You typically wake up once in the night and wake up in the morning around 6:30am...we don't really have to do much for you at night because you hold your bottle great- we just have to hand it to you!

You just cat nap while we are driving in the car...this is sometimes frustrating for a mom trying to get things done! Thankfully you do play with toys pretty well which can keep you occupied for a few minutes at a time!
-You babble quite a bit. You try to say certain things that you hear all the time like "tickle tickle" but there have been no official words yet

-You are very ticklish!
-You love to hug and snuggle and will lay still for quite awhile when I rub your back.
-Oh yes, you graduated from helmet wearing! We think you have a beautifully shaped head and are glad to get that big thing off of you (you are happy too!)
-Stratton, we are SO blessed to have you in our family!
