9 Months!

Stratton is 9 months old!

We went to the dr a few weeks ago for his checkup and his stats were:

Height: 28 1/4 in (50%)

Weight: 20lb 2 oz (50%)

Head Circ: 45.2 cm (50%)

The doctor said that he is a very symmetrical boy...its not everyday you come across a 50/50/50 percentile measurement!

What else would you expect from a little boy whose birthday is

9-9-09 ;)

Stratton, here is a little bit of what you have been up to lately:

-You are almost crawling! You seem to get around (not far, but you can get a few feet in any direction) by scooting and rolling but lately you have been getting up on all 4's and rocking...just like your sister did right before she plunged into the world of crawling. I couldn't get you to sit still for ONE moment to snap your 9 month picture...you are bouncing on the couch in the shot I got :)

-You have good balance and sometimes don't realize you are standing on your own when we let go of your hands. You don't crawl up on too many things right now but you are starting to pull yourself up on mommy's legs when we are sitting on the floor together.

-You like the beach and pool! We have made a few trips to each and you enjoy yourself very much.

-You took your first nap on the beach this month...oh...those are the BEST!
-You watch your sister run circles all around the house. She loves basketball and you have been watching her play. Daddy gave you a turn. -You are eating "big kid" food! You really don't have much interest in being spoon fed lately and much prefer grabbing food to put in your mouth all by yourself! We are experimenting with new things but so far you have been munching on lots of Nutrigrain Bars, Cheerios, Puffs, Corn and Toast. You are getting pretty good so get ready for a full menu this week. The refrigerator is stocked with new things for you to try!
-You love to laugh. Here you are playing with daddy and Natalie.

-Look at that smile!!! You love to interact.-You are more comfortable on your tummy now (you used to NEVER stay on your tummy!). You are even sleeping on your stomach at night now...crawling here we come.

-You and your sister are great buddies. You guys always stick together and love to laugh.

-You still have just two bottom teeth but we are suspicious that your two top teeth will make an appearance soon.

-You like bath time and sit by yourself just fine in the tub.

-You are wearing about 12month size clothes and still wearing your sister's size 5 diapers ;)

-You love to hug and kiss (especially mommy)

-You aren't speaking words yet but are babbling "dadadadda." You really do try to say "tickle tickle" when we ask you to (you say "tic tic"). You are clicking your tongue and just getting used to making different noises. You like to copy your sister when she screams and you mimic the volume and tone she is using (very fun for mom's ears in the car-haha). When we say "kiss kiss" you give a kiss right on the lips! Melts my heart!

-You are pretty easy-going but have a tiny little temper too...when you don't get what you want, when you want it sometimes throw a tantrum. Oh my...

-You are doing very well Stratton! Keep up the good work. We love you!
