A Date With the President (Me, Wes and 2300 other people!)

This week Wes and I had the privilege of attending a dinner where George W. Bush was the keynote speaker. What a great experience! I was thrilled to have the chance to listen to a former President and would gladly listen to any President speak in person. So interesting! Among other things, President Bush said that prior to the White House he hadn't really bought into the idea of the 'power of prayer'... but during his years as President he actually EXPERIENCED/FELT the power that prayer brings (that is paraphrased!). Anyway, I was reminded that we need to pray for our leaders -for wisdom, wise counsel and conviction to do the right thing...whether we agree/like/voted for the leader or not. God will use our prayers.
