10 Months!

Our baby boy turned 10 months old last week. Stratton is really starting to seem like more of a little boy (not a baby) every day. He is on his way! Stratton continues to have a sweet personality that is pretty "go with the flow" until he's not…I'm not sure if that makes sense but that is the best way I can describe him J He is always calmed by a hug, bottle or a little song…he really is a snuggle bug.

Stratton…this is what you have been doing this past month:

-You are a big hugger- here you are giving your GiGi a big snuggle. When you smile or laugh or wave it is usually followed by an immediate "head bury" into whoever is holding you….your bashful greetings are totally precious -You are learning more about talking and physical motions. You say "SOOO Big" with your hands, wave hello and good-bye and clap very well -You are quick to give a grin J and are happy to sit on our laps and hang out (this is very different that your wiggly older sister at your age!)
-You like living at the beach for the summer and watched your first summer storm come over the lake this month -You were a gift to your daddy and PaPa on Father's Day this year

-You are kind of irregular with napping but typically take two naps (45 min or so) a day. -You go to bed at 7:30…no matter where you are or what you are wearing you crash at the same time every night J For the past two nights you have actually slept thru the night till about 6am! Otherwise you wake up at 1:30 am for a bottle and go right back down. -You are crawling everywhere and exploring new things all the time. You like to have a playmate but are also content to play with toys by yourself. You are happiest when Natalie is around to play with or just watch. You light up when she wakes up from an afternoon nap because you really do miss her when she is resting! -You have learned to pull yourself up all by yourself! Now you like to stand next to everything and try to let go and stand on your own from time to time. You can balance for a few seconds J

-This is a picture of Natalie and I discovering you standing all by yourself in your crib forthe first time! (sorry you are crying…I just HAD to take a picture!) -We had our doubts at first but you really do LOVE the beach and water. You comb your hands thru the sand and crawl toward the water. You love to have us help you walk along the shore. You have even taken quite a few afternoon naps on the beach…nothing gets better than that! (Sleeping on the beach with aunt Ri Ri)
-You still wear size 5 diapers and about 12month or 12-18 month clothes.
-You have 3 bottom teeth and your two top teeth have broken thru and are working their way down. -You are good for everyone who takes care of you. You love seeing mommy and daddy but have no separation anxiety at this point. -You love to get your teeth brushed (you giggle every time!)
- You are working on doing hand motions and saying "all done" when you are done with your food.
-You like to eat anything but your favorite food is definitely blueberries. You take your time and eat careful bites. You will eat for up to a half hour. You prefer your left hand when eating…we wonder if you might be a lefty like your daddy?! We are working on using sippy cups and you love to share mommy's water bottle. -We are having so much fun watching you grow, Stratton. You have a very precious personality- loving and sweet. WE LOVE YOU!
