Stratton is 13 Months

Stratton is 13 months old! He is a growing little boy and is learning by leaps and bounds everyday. It is fun to learn more about Stratton's personality as he becomes more engaging. He is doing great!

Stratton, here is a little re-cap of what you've been doing lately..

-Mommy & Daddy (mostly Daddy) were tickled to find you in the living room playing golf with Daddy's clubs...It was so sweet seeing you determined to hit the ball. You did a good job. Daddy is excited to save his "lefty" golf clubs for you to use when you get bigger

-You got your first haircut this month. You did a good job of sitting still...the secret??...lots and lots of animal crackers to keep you occupied :)
-You are a good eater but your favorite thing to eat by far is fruit. You ate 4 bananas yesterday alone! Any strawberry, raspberry, apple...whatever...will keep you happy! -When you are done eating you let the world know...you throw EVERYTHING on the floor...let's just say that there is a lot of "pick up time" everyday. You say "uh oh!" when you drop things....cute cute

-You are totally upwardly mobile and prefer walking to crawling 100%. You are getting fast on your feet and sometimes seem like you are running!

-You are curious and LOVE opening drawers and cabinets. Your morning routine is to hang out with mommy in her bathroom and take out all of her hairbrushes. You usually run away and hide them around the living room.

-You wear size 12-18 month clothing and size 5 diapers

-You use a sippy cup for most of the day but take a bottle at nap time and night...you don't have a pacifier, blanket or any other special comfort so we are letting the night bottle slide a little ;)

-You wake up at 6am every day and go to bed at 7:30/8pm. You are beginning to take one mid day nap routinely.

-You laugh A LOT! You probably learned that from your sister who is always doing something funny and laughing. You are fun, sweet spirited little guy!

-You LOVE your mommy and melt her heart....you will stop what you're doing and walk all the way across the room just to give mommy a kiss and hug---aggghh sooooo sweet.

-You wave "hi" and "bye" and blow kisses

-You are using more words. You say, "dog", "mama". "dada", "uh oh", "all daaa" (all done), "baba" (bottle or sippy), "woof woof", "ooh ooh" (monkey sound), & "baa" (start of banana). You are making lots of other sounds as you try to communicate new words.

-You LOVE animals...any animal but especially dogs. Whether its a stuffed animal in a store, a picture in a book, something on TV or dogs walking on the street, you get sooo excited. You start laughing and stretch your legs out and flex your whole body...it is pretty funny and cute!

-Stratton, you are really becoming your own person and are such a precious gift. Love you!
