5 Months!

Wow!  Oliver, you are already 5 months old!
We just keep having more and more fun...
Here is a bit of what you have been doing this past month:

-Still getting lots of attention from your siblings
...Especially from mommy's helper, Natalie :)  You are lucky to have such a caring, confident and capable big sis!
-Eating!  At about 4.5 months we introduced you to the wonderful world of baby food and you haven't looked back!  You eat twice a day and never leave a container of food full :)
So far you have liked everything you've tried (except green beans).  You have eaten rice cereal, bananas, applesauce, peas, green beans, squash, carrots and peaches. Yummmm
(This picture is of you eating rice cereal for the very first time)
-You love your daddy and he takes great care of you.

-You got your two bottom center teeth!  No fussing, fevers or problems...just a bit of drool and then POOF! teeth!...thanks for making that easy on us Ollie!
 -More eating...
-You have gained a lot of strength and don't mind playing on your tummy.
-You are easily rolling front to back and back to front...especially when there is a toy just out of reach that you would like to play with
-You and mommy really love each other :)
-You are looking like a big boy!  You wear size 3 diapers and size 9 (sometimes even 12) month clothing
-Oh the jump chair...you could sit in this thing for days!  You get a giant grin on your face and get straight to bouncing as soon as you little body gets set in the swing
-You are still waking up twice at night.  Bedtime is usually around 9.  You are getting good at putting yourself to sleep but sometimes mom just loves to hold you until you doze off.
-You have started to take either a morning and afternoon nap or just a long mid day snooze.  It isn't totally consistent but a napping trend is developing.
-You still love your exersaucer and are using your hands to actually use the toys!  It is so fun to see your motor skills and understanding develop
-You have grown SO MUCH this past month, Oliver!  You are smart and are learning more each day.  You are a beautifully happy and content baby.  You are alert to your surroundings and get excited when people talk to you.  You have a fantastic grin that lights up your whole face.  While in some ways it is sad to see the "baby phase" go it is so much fun to see who you are developing to be and interact with you more and more every day.
We love you Ollie!
