Happy 1st Birthday Stratton

Stratton turned ONE last week! Wow! He continues to be a joy and a perfect addition to our family.

Stratton, you have grown into such a sweet and special little boy this past year. You have always had a special place in my heart. Here is a picture of you just one year ago... Stratton's 12 month stats:

Height: 30 1/2 inches (75%)

Weight: 22lb 7oz 45%)

Head Circumference: 46.8cm (65%)

Stratton, here is a little bit of what you have been doing over the past month...

-WALKING! Two days before your 1st birthday you took 6 steps in a row. In just a matter of days you started getting up on your own in the middle of the room and walking wherever you please! You can make it all the way across the room. You are SO VERY PROUD of yourself and get the biggest grin on your face and start clapping when you walk :) This picture was taken right after you walked across the room to the couch. You were very happy with yourself.

-We had a fun birthday breakfast for you with our family who was in town for cousin Kristin's wedding.

-You had a dog carrot cake because you LOVE dogs. You say "dog" all the time, love your dog stuffed animals, playing with any dog that will let you and pointing to pictures in books.-MMM, lots of yummy food for you including fruit salad which is still your very favorite thing to eat.

-You got a new, soft puppy stuffed animal and you love him! -Look at all of your fun family that got to be a part of your birthday!

-GiGi had the party at her cottage. She loves you very much.

-You were so excited to check out all of your birthday decorations.

-I think the best present of the day came from Aunt RiRi and Uncle Matt...

-Need I say more?

-You are happy to be keeping up better with your big sister these days!

-You and Natalie love each other so much and have started playing together a lot over the past few months. You laugh, wrestle, tickle each other, play with and even fight over toys. You and Natalie can make each other laugh very easily. I love our car rides because you both like to listen to music, talk and laugh

-You are talking more and more. You like to grunt and yell like a boy and sometimes just babble but you do have a few words that you say regularly including: Dog, DaDa, MaMa, BaBa (Bottle), & Uh Oh...you are trying to say other words too but they don't come out clearly...you point to certain things and shout a sound....you will catch on soon!

-You are exploring EVERYTHING. I had to take this picture because you were mesmerized with a door stopper for about 10 minutes the other day...plus I needed to document those cute little thighs -Overall you are a very happy boy. You get whiny sometimes but that usually means you are tired, hungry or aren't getting something you want ;) You have a pleasant personality and love to giggle and laugh. You like to be held, have your back rubbed, be tickled or sung to and rocked....I just love that about you.
-You wear size 12-18 month clothes...you are getting a lot taller

-You wear size 5 diapers

-You drink real cow's milk now and had no problem at all with the transition!

-You still love fruit. You also like grilled cheese and yogurt.

-You still have no nap schedule but tend to take a short morning and late afternoon nap

-You go to bed at 7:30pm, wake up at 6am and sometimes wake up once at night.

-Teeth: You have your two front teeth and the top and incisors coming in. On the bottom you have three (see the pic below). Your big sister's came in the same way! I'm sure the 4th one will show up sometime soon :)

-Stratton, we feel so thankful that you are in our lives and for a healthy one year old boy who gives us so much love and joy. We continue to pray for your health, safety and most importantly that you will develop a heart that loves Jesus. You are on your way, Stratton! We love you.
