22 Months!

 Stratton is 22 months old!  This post is going up a bit late but it is because I have been busy chasing this busy boy around!  Stratton, this is a taste of what you have been doing this past month...

 -Lots and lots of bouncing, jumping and running!  It is hard to get you to stop climbing on/jumping off/diving into anything you can find including couches, tables, chairs, pools, lakes, holes.

 -Growing!  I don't know exact measurements but can say that everyone that has seen you lately has commented on how much you have grown in just the past few weeks.

 -Hanging out in the sunshine.  As you can see from your tan-lines, you are a beach babe!  You LOVE the lake, sand and pool.  You dig holes on the lake shore with daddy, wade in the cold lake water and jump off the side of the pool with no fear.  Mommy's nerves are shot after an hour at the pool with you and your big sister....you are both total go getters in the water but neither of you are ok to be left out of arms reach!

-Your hair is totally bleached!!! Your WHITE, sun kissed, wavy locks are adorable.  Just when we think your hair can't get any lighter it turns a brighter shade of white :)

 -You are confident and very personable.  In the picture below you are waving to one of your Children's Chapel leaders passing by on his bike.  You initiate conversation with everyone including our neighbors above and below.  I often find you outside chatting with someone new...not many people can understand exactly what you are saying but you go ahead and tell long stories to anyone who will listen.

 -You are not a baby anymore...but I still like to admire your cute little features.  Just look at your perfect feet!  You wear a size 5.5 or 6 shoe.

 -Although you are a "big boy" there is something "baby" that you still love.  Don't tell your pediatrician- but you like to go to sleep with a bottle of water at night...you STILL use a newborn speed nipple...you never graduated beyond that speed which I just find funny!  Don't worry, you are totally up to speed on "big kid" cups and utensils during the day ;)

 -You still give us lots of hugs and kisses.  When daddy leaves for work you make sure he has given each of us a kiss goodbye.  You will be a terrific husband someday!

 -You still take one nap a day.  The time varies but you usually cash out around 1pm and sleep anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours.

 -You wear size 6 diapers

-You wear size 2T clothes

-You love to eat cereal

-You are totally into trucks and "choo choo trains"

-You are learning to obey the "rules of the house".  We always ask you why you were punished and you usually tell us exactly why...One time you put YOURSELF in time out! Precious!!!! 
-You can count to 13

-You still love music

-Your favorite movie is "Finding Nemo" (I didn't let Natalie watch this until recently...you are a second child for sure...catching the wave of early privileges!)

-You sleep in a big boy bed (at least for now)...you get out of bed and climb in with mommy and daddy most nights...we need to work on that!

-You are growing up so fast.  You are a precious, sweet, outgoing little boy and we love watching you grow!
