Wow! Today is Stratton's 2nd birthday! We have had so much fun celebrating this little boy over the past week. Strat celebrated his birthday with a "Choo Choo" party last weekend. The usual suspects- PaPa, Gigi, Aunt RiRi, Uncle Matt, Aunt Brooke, MiMi, Natalie, Mommy and Daddy were all there!
Really proud of his Choo Choo train cake...Stratton blew out all the candles by himself and loved the attention he got during the "Happy Birthday" song!

Stratton, today you are TWO years old! I remember the day you were born so fondly. At 41 weeks pregnant I was READY to meet you! You have been a sweetheart from the start. Over the past year you have gone from barely walking to running, jumping, swimming and climbing. Your communication is great, and even though not everyone can always understand you, you still chat all day long. You observe the things around you and can concentrate on tasks. Generally, you like things to be neat and gladly clean up when you are asked. You have a hearty appetite and like to sit at the table for breakfast first thing every morning. You are very personable...stopping to chat with others and always willing to have a conversation. You say the sweetest prayers and even prayed for our food at your birthday party brunch--in front of 10 people! Mommy jokes that you wil be a pastor or a politician ;) You have definitely come into your own over the past 6 months. You have opinions, ideas and favorite things and do your best to stand up to your big sister. You are all boy...trains, trucks, dirt and jumping off anything is your idea of fun. Today you had a healthy checkup from the doctor. Keeping with your growth theme, you are 50% for height and 40% for weight. You have the cutest little body and are built solid. You wear size 24 month or 2T clothes. You still love animals, but I think trains have now trumped dogs in terms of your favorite things. Stratton, you have filled our lives with so much joy and we are thankful to celebrate you today!!!

Aww, Mere, your children couldn't be more adorable! I love getting updates on them! It looks like they both had fabulous birthday celebrations! :) Happy Birthday to both of your cuties!!!
I remember 9/9 like it was yesterday. And all the lunging thereafter :) what a precious boy...and as handsome as they come! Happy birthday strat!
