the kent family: Graduation!

My babies are growing!!! Here were are just this fall getting ready for Natalie's first day of Kindergarten (School ALL day!) and Strat's first time at school ever this past fall...

Fast forward to June and both have grown up so much.

This year has been great for both kiddos. Many friends, much confidence and a lot of learning has gone on!

Stratton has made lots of new friends and gotten to know the teachers at school quite well. He was given the award for "Encouragement" this year at school. He certainly does do a good job of having a positive outlook and lifting up the students and teachers around him. Some of the sweet moments I remember this year with Stratton are the times that he coordinated play dates or arranged special activities for himself by asking his teachers of friends moms to "text or email me"...hahah...guess what?!...they did! Strat is doing a great job with site words, counting and writing his name. School seems to come somewhat easy to this guy...its his relationships with others that makes him most excited!

It took a few weeks but Natalie adjusted to her big Kindergarten schedule well this year. She made new friends, was diligent in her classwork and learned to read! Natalie was given the award for "Respect" this year because she did a good job of listening to her friends and teachers and being polite at school. Yay! Natalie works hard in her classroom and plays hard on the playground. She is always up for running around and has a spunky and fun attitude! When I first told Natalie that she was going to be in 1st grade next year she responded with, "No way! I'm like totally freaking out!" Oh the joys of learning new phrases at school...I'm about 80% sure she didn't learn that from me ;)

One of my favorite memories of this school year with Natalie was watching her gain confidence in her relationships and with her school programs. She did a great job singing and reciting her verses which made us us happy!
