11 Months!

Oliver, you are 11 months old! 

We are a few weeks late posting this but only because you and your siblings have been keeping us so busy ;)  This is a little bit of what you have been doing lately...

-Playing!  It has been a blast to see you interact more with Natalie, Stratton and us!  You love to play "tag," play with toys and wrestle with Natalie and Stratton.  You are so smart and show us how much you are observing your surroundings when you do things like grab the Nintendo remote and act like you are playing (you have been watching your brother and sister do this all summer!) 





 -Squirming...It is hard to keep you in one place these days...We plop you on the couch only to have you crawl off a moment later...When you are held you squeal until we put you down to explore...even if it means crawling thru the dirt or on hard pavement...You are a man with a plan!

 -Moving...You crawl at lightening speed and hold yourself up on anything and everything...You started out the month cruising and using toys and chairs as support to walk and ended the month with your first steps!  Within the past two weeks you have sailed and are taking a good sequence of steps together very well.  You are walking on your own and are very proud of yourself.  We are proud of you too :)

-Cheers! We are all so thrilled to watch you grow and learn.  A familiar sound around the house is daddy exclaiming, "YAY Ollie!" when you do something like walk to him, stand on your own or throw a ball.  You love to hear the cheers and grin ear to ear!

-First 4th...You experienced your first fourth of July and even participated in the local parade.

 -Growing! You are our solid boy!  Pretty sure we have pushed the limits on the Bijorn but a moms gotta do what a moms gotta do when there are two big siblings to chase around! 

-You are 22 lbs and wear 12-18 month clothing

-Sleeping...In a perfect (uninterrupted) world you would take a mid morning and late afternoon nap.  You are pretty good at going with the flow but will get cranky if you don't get a rest.

You go to bed around 8/8:30 and are sometimes sleeping thru the night.  We have been sleeping in closer quarters lately so it is hard to let you cry at night...we have regressed just a tad ;)  ooops

-Beaching it...You are a beach babe just like your big sis and brother!  You love the sand, exploring the dunes and crawling along (and into!) the water.

-Milestones...

-You are clapping up a storm and babbling.

-You say "DaDa," "NumNum" (means you are hungry) and "Uh Oh!"

-You like to play ball and are good at throwing

-You have 8 teeth

-You love to eat grapes, turkey, blueberries and most recently, watermelon 

-You do not like to have your diaper changed and wiggle and scream thru the whole process

(here you are at just over 11 months)

-What a beautiful, handsome baby you are Oliver...and your fabulous personality is a joy to all of us each day. We love the kisses and hugs you give so readily!
